HORNS OF HEYOKA – The image & head dress of HEYOKA reflect the fact that the culture in which HEYOKA originated was a hunting culture. Because the demands of hunting & tracking require vigilance, sensitivity & intuition the horns represent those qualities which enable HEYOKA to see beyond or into our everyday reality to perceive the energetic qualities of material existence. The horns act as antennae & are often depicted with auras or ethereal energies surrounding them or emanating from them. This piece represents that reality.
