This piece has the mica bling, delicate pink calcite & partial evolution toward the arrow / vector shape which characterize information from the angelic realm. ANGEL WING
Beautiful pink Calcite encrusted sandstone with sparkling Mica in the shape of a large (10″ long, 4.75″ wide) angel wing. Decorated with pink orange Jasper, a bird like banded Calcite piece & 2 pieces of Ca beach glass representing the plant & animal kingdoms and the earth elements Copper & Iron. This beach glass is filled with ormes elements which are especially activated by their exposure to the ocean energy from which they came. ANGEL HAPPY
Angels have been depicted for centuries in specific ways which include images of flowing garments, wings, auras of light, etc. Many depictions of angels show their muted but brilliant shades & hues! These depictions extend across cultures & even include devas & other spiritual creatures. My 5 year old son off handedly announced one day that the plants in our house had “angels” which looked after them & protected them as guardian spirits so to speak. Matthew Fox, a Christian theologian has said, “angels precede all the faith traditions”. Angels were & are considered to be messengers of God & as such are “filled with God” as Angela of Foligno said in the 13th century. The shapes of God identified in spiritual geometry, which was a scientific discipline in the religious societies of Egypt & Medieval Spain & provided the basis for later European depictions of spiritual events, include the spiral as its most creative energetic form. Spirals come in all sizes from tiny whorls in material reality to Galaxies too large to comprehend. The function of the spiral is to evolve! If one looks at the natural world spirals can be seen everywhere! This evolutionary energetic form is seen in rosette shapes, winged forms, twisting rivers of once molten lava & our own body mechanics. At times we can see pieces of spirals in rock forms. These show they are part of a larger spirallic pattern if one pictures the larger spiral they are part of!. Such pieces are evidence of divine intent & as such, can work as a reminder to us that God asks us to identify & succumb to his evolutionary plan. This graceful shape of energy is an angel calling us to happiness because we are entering the larger spiral it is part of & the ever larger & more inclusive spirals which dance around us. Einstein once said that the most important question facing humanity is “Is the universe friendly or not?” An African musician once said the goal of music is “unreasonable happiness”. SAINT MICHAEL
ST MICHAEL – Protector of the faithful & the faith, Michael means he “who is like to God”. MIchael is an archangel and the leader of the angels. He is associated with the Sun and governs the disposition of Truth & Justice. He is called the soldier of God and is important as a protector & healer. As such he is considered the patron saint of various healing sites & especially those which have healing waters such as springs. He likes Franincense & Myrrh which are important scents in whorship of the Catholic faith. At the time of Guadalupe’s appearance in Mexico she appeared in the sky & was attacked by a dragon until St Michael came with a host of angels & protected her. The base of this piece is an apparently floating platform of 3 levels which serves as a home for this old painting of St Michael inscribed on a metal refrigerator magnet from Mexico. INSIDE THE CURVE
This curved arrow shape shows the path of least resistance on a larger spiral. Blessings follow when we follow the natural order. Christians call it grace, The Tao is that path. In the southwest it might be called a spirit arrow. In any event when we follow this way blessings occur because we are in harmony with the energetic pattern that underlies all things. ANNUNCIATION
The Annunciation is an important occurrence in Christianity. It is the time when the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary & told her that she was to be the Mother of Jesus & he would be the Savior of humanity. It occurs as a feast day on 3/25 of each year & sometimes during Holy Week or even on Easter! It coincides with that point in the year when Jesus would have been conceived. It is also associated with Spring which is a resurrection & is also the ‘Glad Tidings” which nature displays as the new cycle of growth & fruition appears. As such it is an announcement of the bounty & fruitful nature of God. 3/25 was considered New Years until 1752 because it is a new beginning! These pieces all convey the color & form of Good News & are meant to covey to us the beauty & strength of manifestation as well as its promise. SANTA MUERTE I
SANTA MUERTE – Our Mother who brought us here and will take us away, taking death as our measure, she has gotten a bad reputation. Some of her followers smoke marijuana and dance wildly. “Letting her hair down” was a sign of necromancy in Medieval Spain. She is a mother of the caves and the back streets. She cares for all and nurtures their requests. Originally associated with the Aztec Goddess MICTECACHUHUATL, her messenger and confidante is the Owl. (Gallery photo) Protector of crops and maker of love spells, she assists in all transformations. This simple OFRENDA calls natural images to a human purpose. Her boney visage, her knowledge of worldly tricks of the trade, her natural affection for all that will die and her association with Owl are acknowledged and celebrated. FLOURITE CROSS
Purple Flourite Cross (naturally occurring). Purple encourages spiritual aspirations and devotion and also grounds aspiration in practical service and the physical world. As such it cleanses negativity and physically benefits the bones and structural problems in the body including arthritic complaints. As the final color on the blue end of the spectrum we are moving into the ethereal realms here. In traditional metaphysics it assists the opening of the third eye. Beautiful Elestial Quartz – Elestial means “Crystal of the Angels” and it is said that if one clears the mind, closes one’s eyes and runs their hand over the indentations and wrinkles in an elestial piece that one can receive instruction from the angelic realm. It connects us with hidden conditions and purifies us by moving us into line with our life path or destiny. JESUS BOAT
JESUS BOAT – Jesus was originally a fisherman as well as a carpenter until he became a “fisher of men”. As described in Mark he spoke to multitudes from a boat in the Sea of Galilee. This natural sandstone boat holds a metal copy of an old painting which depicts his birth and Crucifixion. It is framed and echoed by Calcite, Jasper & Sandstone rocks which have many of the same colors & rests in a bed of California beach glass which also reflect the colors of the painting. The Jasper piece has red, orange, yellow, cream & black in a diamond shape, a signature of good luck & spiritual aspiration. DESERT CANDLE I
The Desert is burning, it is a place of penitence & reckonings. The fierceness of the weather and land let us know we are not in control of our experience but there is always grace when we accept what is given to us. Something is always coming to fruition here. This engenders our faith. It is no accident that the Penitentes & the local Native American tribes took strength & resolve from the conditions & promise of this place. DESERT HEART
Desert Heart – The desert is a place of apparently harsh conditions where extremes of temperature, wind, and water inform the life of the creatures and plants which reside there. Many spiritual aspirants including Jesus spent time in the desert purifying themselves and seeking visions. The tiny inscribed forms on Caliche on this Desert Heart show the inherent (though often hidden) “language of the heart” and the wild and secret purpose we are all born for. Remember that Caliche forms into patterns orchestrated by Ormes or Superlight and, though we may not be able to translate this into our everyday language, the energetic patterns are not accidental or arbitrary.
