VECTORS, ARROWS, MEANDERS and TRIANGLES signify volition, moving toward goals, and specific action. Meanders are triangulated arrows of intent meeting the resistance and topography of the manifest world. They can be seen in rivers, the movement of snakes, and the zigzag pattern of lightning in the sky. They represent and enhance will and intent. Free will tells us we can influence the flow of events but there is an optimum time to enter the flow. That time is always now!
A change in direction requires a strong impetus, a leap, a spark, an act of will and a choice. The triangle at the terminal point of an arrow, a serpent’s head, a meander or a lightning bolt are indicative of that force. Maggie McNab, who has studied archetypal forms and their meanings and energetics, says in her book, Design By Nature, “The triangle takes everything into account at its base, gathers and compresses it and tunnels it into and through a point in preparation for the next dimension”.
These eruptions and momentos memorialize forward movement and volition, the realm of Mars whose glyph includes an arrow. They are useful in breaking up stagnancy in attaining goals, breaking habits, and starting new businesses or relationships. Dwelling on these acts as a reminder of your resolve, energizes kundalini, and awakens new ideas and paths forward. The serpent or thunderbolt power brings us up from the depths and buoys us, moves around objects and objections to project us into the future.
Shamans may meditate or infuse arrows with intention and send them into the future to seed events and encourage success in chosen endeavors. Your intention works in the same way. These tokens act as an energetic stimulus to your intentions in the realms of your own making and they bless your good intentions with strong action and resolve.
